A family member of mine is a homebrewer who wanted me to create a label for a batch of beer they were making that was to be entered into a competition. They wanted a classic-looking English style label as that’s what the category they were entering it in was. They ended up winning the first place prize!

My biggest takeaway from this project was the difference between the appearance of something on a screen and how it looks once it’s printed. When it’s being printed you have to consider how “real” in a sense a design will look and consider everything else around it as part of the design. It’s important to incorporate all of that into designing.
