City Of Toronto - WM Guide
Recently I worked on a government contract for the city of Toronto. The project was updating and redesigning the 2024 and 2025 Waste Management calendar and guidelines that are sent to every household in the city. I was the lead on the project and had a hand in everything from the communications to the administration. I was the sole person designing the project so it was an amazing learning experience. The scale of the project was massive and there were many different moving parts. I have included the 2 selected covers, a draft for the 2025 cover and one of the inside pages of the guide.
The Takeaway
This project gave me a lot of experience with wide-reaching projects. Something that would be put under a lot of scrutiny and picked apart. There were lots of back-and-forth drafts and edits to ensure that everything was perfect. Also since it is such a large and progressive city there was a big emphasis on accessible and inclusive design to make sure everyone was considered and included.
